The legendary, Grammy Award-winning American country group, the Zac Brown Band, has set off on another tour across America, bringing their original blend of rock and folk influenced musical style to stages all across the country this year. Fortunately, the remarkable group is also making time to give their non-American fans a little treat, squeezing in some concerts in the UK as well as Canada. More importantly, they’re making a stop at the Molson Canadian Amphitheater in Toronto on Thursday, August 21.

The country outfit was formed by lead guitarist and vocalist, Zac Brown, back in 2002 and consists of six band mates; however, the original lineup only included Brown, a drummer and a bassist. Band mates Clay Cook, a former member of the Marshall Tucker Band, and percussionist Daniel de los Reyes joined the group only a few years ago.  After six years of touring, the band experienced a significant breakthrough with the success of its first major-label studio album, The Foundation, and have since seen progress upon progress in the 12 years of its existence. The #1 album of  2012, Uncaged, was the band’s most recent success, managing to sell over 200,000 copies in the first week of its release.

To speak for its tremendous strength, the band has acquired a countless number of nominations from the Grammy Awards, Academy of Country Music, American Music Awards, Country Music Association and Country Music Television. To top it off, the band has won a number of their award nominations.

The Zac Brown Band has garnered many hits throughout the years and among them are “Chicken Fried,” “Toes,” “Free,” “As She’s Walking Away,” “Colder Weather” and “Knee Deep.” Join them on Thursday at the Molson Canadian Amphitheater to hear your favourites being performed live!
