The Sixth Annual Hart House Craft Beer Festival is set to take place at the historic Hart House Quad, in the downtown campus of the University of Toronto, on August 1, 2013. During the festival, participants will be able to try out samples of a wide variety of craft beers from around Canada.

The event will be featuring DJs from the University of Toronto’s own radio station, CIUT, spinning some summery songs to set the mood for the beer enthusiasts as they enjoy their drinks in the warm weather.

Tickets to the festival are $33.90 (tax included) for adults and $28.25 for students (with valid ID), and include 8 beer samples, a reusable tasting glass, as well as a BBQ fare hosted by Hart House Executive Chef, Marco Tucci.

Included in the festival this year is a beer-tasting workshop entitled ExBEERiential Learning, with tickets sold separately, at $16.95 for adults and $11.30 for students.

Some of the breweries participating in the event this year include the Steam Whistle Brewery, Creemore Springs Brewery Ltd., Muskoka Brewery, Junction Craft Brewery, Mill Street Brewery, Granville Island Brewing, among many others.

Doors open for the festival at 7:00 pm, whereas the beer-tasting workshop starts at 5:30 pm.
