By taking a trip down to King St W. you would be fortunate to stumble upon Brassaii.  This unique, high-end restaurant is snuggled amongst some large buildings and boasts an old style cobblestone patio as well as some amazing nightly entertainment.

Brassaii provides its patrons with an amazing array of meal options as well as their own mixologist behind the bar.  Brassaii’s Campfire Coffee is their winter signature drink.  They turn the common specialty coffee into a ready-made winter survival kit, complete with a mini bonfire. A cup of Maker’s Mark–spiked espresso, topped with vanilla-bourbon whipped cream, arrives at the table with all the fixings to make old-fashioned s’mores: chocolate-topped graham crackers, a skewered Jet-Puffed marshmallow and a small pile of rum-soaked cinnamon sticks and star anise that the server lights on fire so you can roast your marshmallow. The sweet sandwich pairs perfectly with the bitter, bourbon-soaked coffee.

Open for brunch through to cocktails at the end of an evening, Brassaii brings an original Mediterranean twist to your dining options.  There is a well-rounded selection of both seafood and meats.  What stands out the most is the mouth-watering venison dinner that features a full tenderloin of the wild meat. With meals that are as tasty as they sound, no one will be disappointed with their selection at Brassaii.

Dinner prices range from $20 through to $75 for an entire prime rib steak dinner.  For those who know fine dining, these prices are incredible.  If you can’t make it for dinner, why not stop by for brunch or lunch.  Even better, when the Toronto climate finally brings summer back, check out their amazing patio for a drink and appetizer.

For those who know their drinks, Brassaii has a lengthy bar inside, as well as a fully exposed wine cellar for those who wish to pick out that special vintage to have with their meal.  Brassaii also offers a lounge for those who are looking to get together with friends for a few drinks, and two private rooms for those looking to host their own get together.  While many Canadians are hearty folk, don’t worry about a limited patio season with Brassaii.  They have several fire bowls on site as well as other heat sources to allow patio season to go well into the fall, and of course start up early in the spring.  If you’re the type of person who enjoys sitting on a patio with friends, this is the place for you.

Brassaii boasts that they will “provide the portrait of well-choreographed service while you enjoy a culinary experience and dynamic social ambiance not soon to be forgotten.”

Be sure to check out Brassaii.  Whether it is for a drink, brunch, or dinner, they will not disappoint you and will give you a chance to experience a different side to downtown Toronto, without leaving the core.
