Jay-Z and Beyoncé, leaders in today’s hip hop music industry, have hit the road for their first hand-in-hand tour. The summer tour, titled On The Run, will be making a stop in Toronto, where fans will see the dynamic duo performing together at the Rogers Centre on July 9th.

The music powerhouse couple have frequently been featured in each other’s shows, surprising audiences and treating the crowd to performances of unforgettable duets like “Crazy In Love”, “Deja Vu” and, their latest collaboration, “Drunk In Love.” Both Jay-Z and Beyoncé have well established reputations and success, with a collective sum of 300 million records sold and a total of 36 Grammy awards, making them household names in the music industry.

After breaking off from the girl group, Destiny’s Child, Beyoncé launched her solo career with the release of her debut album, Dangerously In Love. Her recent self titled album has produced the hit singles “Partition”, “XO” and “Flawless”. On the other hand, Jay-Z has been rapping since 1989, but rose to stardom with the success of his 1998 album, Vol. 2…Hard Knock Life. Among the 13 albums he’s since released are the highly praised albums Blueprint and Watch The Throne. Jay-Z’s current album, Magna Carta Holy Grail, has had people singing along to the favored featured song “Holy Grail” since its release.

Although Beyoncé performed last December in Toronto for her Mrs. Carter Show world tour, the audience can expect more performances off of her recent album, as opposed to the Mrs. Carter Show, where she only performed “XO.” Hurry and get your tickets here. Expect to get drunk off the high energy that will undoubtedly be present because the beloved superstar couple never disappoints!
